Industrial Dust Collector working principle

Mechanical dust collector:using mass force to separate dust particles from airflow,such as gravity settling chamber using gravity to naturally settle dust particles;Inertial dust collectors use dusty airflow to collide with baffles or rapidly change the direction of the airflow,and use the inertia of dust particles to separate them;The cyclone dust collector separates dust particles from the airflow by the centrifugal force generated by the rotating airflow.

Filter type dust collector:It uses the principles of interception of dust particles by filter materials and inertial collision of dust particles with filter materials to achieve separation,such as bag filter.After the dust containing gas enters,the dust is trapped on the outer surface of the filter bag,and the purified gas enters the bag and is discharged.

Electrostatic precipitator:A negative voltage is applied to the anode plate of the electrode system to form an uneven electric field between the anode and cathode plates.The gas is ionized,and the charged flue gas particles move in a directional manner towards the dust collection electrode under the action of the electric field force,and are adsorbed onto the electrode plate.When the particles accumulate to a certain thickness,they are shaken by a vibrator to peel off into the ash hopper.

Wet dust collector:Dust particles in the gas are captured during the gas-liquid two-phase contact process,and dust is removed by the inertial collision of dust particles with liquid droplets and liquid films.For example,spray towers,cyclone tube scrubbers,etc.use water droplets to capture dust,while cyclone water film dust collectors use water film to capture dust.

Common types and characteristics

Bag filter:With high dust removal efficiency,generally above 90%,it can capture small dust particles larger than 0.3 microns.It is suitable for handling non fibrous and non corrosive dust,but the bag is prone to damage and needs to be replaced frequently,resulting in high operating and maintenance costs.

Cyclone dust collector:With a simple structure,low cost,and easy maintenance,it can be used to capture dust particles with a particle size greater than 5 microns.It is suitable for processing high air volume and low to medium concentration dust containing gases,but its capture efficiency for fine dust is relatively low.

Electric dust collector:With high dust removal efficiency,it can handle small dust particles and high temperature flue gas with high air volume.It has low operating costs,but requires large equipment investment,occupies a large area,and has certain requirements for the specific resistance of dust.

Wet dust collector:It can simultaneously remove harmful gases and dust,with simple equipment,low investment,small footprint,and low operating costs.However,mud treatment is difficult and may cause secondary pollution.Anti corrosion measures need to be taken for corrosive gases.
